Paddleboard Instructional Trip

Enjoy the water from a Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) with one of our ACA certified guides. This section of river is just off the Blue Ridge Parkway, is within 20 minutes of Roanoke and parallels Explore Park. It is essentially flat water, as it is backed up from Smith Mountain Lake. These trips are well suited to beginners and cover the basics of SUPing, from weight placement to efficient paddling techniques. SUP’s offer a great vantage point, as you are elevated well above the surface of the water, allowing for a great view of the rivers scenery.
